These clocks are new to forsyths and a bit different from what we usually sell. When we first saw them we ordered straight away.We have had to wait but its been well worth waiting - they look fantastic!
The quirky ceramic Stonesplitter Clocks are made at the craft pottery studio of Ian Roberts in the UK midlands.
There is a small mouse on each clock and each clock is glazed and fired using the Raku process.
The Raku process involves removing the clocks from the firing kiln whist still hot. This gives the unique texture to the coloured glaze and adds the `crackle` effect.
There is a slight `tick` from the battery powered clock (AA included) or is it the sound of the little mouse taping its feet?????
